OBERMEYER PROJECTS 40 TO 60 PERCENT SALES INCREASES FOR 93-94

LAS VEGAS, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Aspen, Colo. based skiwear manufacturer Sport Obermeyer projects a 40 to 60 percent increase in initial sales of it's 93-94 collection of skiwear for men, ladies and kids.
"This projection is based on a combination of strength of the Obermeyer line this year, as well as dramatically improved conditions in the ski industry overall," said Wally Obermeyer, vice-president of Sport Obermeyer. "The combination of excellent snow, low dealer inventories and consumer enthusiasm has created the industry turn-around we've all been looking for."
For men, look for a broader offering of outerwear, sweaters and accessories to meet the needs of a wider variety of skiers; double the number of parkas under $200 retail; advancements in fabrics and coatings, including Weather-Xcel waterproof breathable microporous polyurethane coating.
For Ladies, four distinctly feminine groups:
-- Sport Ski Youthful attitude; flattering silhouettes; bold prints; wide ranging colors.

-- Fashion Classics - Timeless silhouettes, Bavarian inspired detailing and embroidery; rich colors of chamois, red, sage, midnight, charcoal; Alpen Silk fabric.
-- Impressions - Metallic-inspired colors and findings; elegant cross-dyed fabric highlighted with a Neo-Classical print.
