 OAZ ENHANCES NETFAX FOR WINDOWS WITH PBX-INTEGRATION CAPABILITY
 DALLAS, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- OAZ Communications Inc. announced today it has enhanced the Windows-version of its NetFax Open(TM) fax server with PBX-integration capability. NetFax for Windows provides Novell NetWare-based local area network (LAN) users with fax-handling and management features in an MS-Windows environment. PBX-integration allows users to tie in PBX-account code features with their fax destination for automatic call-accounting.
 "PBX-integration is the first phase of OAZ's long-term strategy to offer complete fax/voice integrated solutions," said Ajay Batheja, president and CEO of OAZ Communications. "PBX-integration capability provides current NetFax users with a fully automated call-accounting system, resulting in increased office productivity and cost-savings."
 Litton Industries Inc., a Fortune 100 company, is currently serving as a beta test site for OAZ's NetFax for Windows with PBX-integration capability. The company uses the product for inbound and outbound faxing among its various divisions and customers worldwide. According to Richard Lund, Litton's senior telecommunications analyst, NetFax is proving instrumental in lowering costs.
 "With NetFax' PBX-integration capability, we will be able to reterminate our trunk group into our own PBX-system to take advantage of a lower rate structure," said Lund. "Furthermore, all usage is automatically billed through the PBX-system."
 NetFax for Windows
 Introduced earlier this year, NetFax for Windows has been designed to be fully compatible (native) with Novell's Message Handling Service (MHS) platform.
 "As many organizations migrate from a DOS to Windows environment, the ability to work within Windows is a major decision factor for PC users today," said Batheja. "Due to the increasing popularity of Windows among Fortune 1000 corporations, more than 70 percent of our NetFax shipments are Windows-based."
 NetFax for Windows provides "ultra-easy" fax capability -- allowing users to fax as easily as print a document. Users can fax from within any Windows-PC application by simply selecting the NetFax option from their print menu. Plus, NetFax for Windows takes full advantage of the scalable fonts of Adobe Type Manager(TM) from Adobe Systems and Face Lift(TM) from Bitstream Corp., providing the maximum possible resolution for faxed documentation.
 NetFax for Windows provides the user with additional fax-handling and management features such as:
 -- Broadcasting to a distribution list;
 -- Attachment of multiple files;
 -- Direct-send within applications;
 -- Elimination of redundant file conversions; and
 -- Import and export of telephone databases (ASCII).
 Operational Requirements
 NetFax for Windows can be installed on any IBM/compatible PC (286, 386, 486) running MS-Windows (version 3.0 or higher). NetFax for Windows works in conjunction with OAZ's NetFax Manager fax gateway system on a Novell network.
 Pricing and Availability
 NetFax for Windows with PBX-integration capability will begin shipping in December of this year. Prices range from $395 for eight users, $495 for 100 users, to $595 for 500 users.
