OAUG Elects New Board of Directors.


New members demonstrate diversity of Oracle applications users

ATLANTA -- The Oracle([R]) Applications Users Group (OAUG OAUG Oracle Applications Users Group

), the world's largest user knowledgebase for Oracle([R]) applications users, today announced that the organization's membership has added four new members to its 2007 board of directors during the OAUG's elections in November. The new board members include:

Basheer Khan, president of Irvine, Calif.-based Innowave Technology. Khan was named Oracle Magazine's Integration Architect of the Year (2006) and OAUG Member of the Year (2003). He is a frequent lecturer about Oracle Applications capabilities at the COLLABORATE and Oracle OpenWorld Oracle OpenWorld is an annual Oracle event for business decision-makers, IT management, and line of business end users. It is held in major cities around the world. The 2007 event was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  conferences. His current OAUG involvement includes chair of the Geo/SIG Committee, co-chair of the COLLABORATE 07 Committee and member of the Membership and Fusion Council steering committees. Khan also chairs the Web Services (1) Loosely, any online service delivered over the Web. Such usage appears in articles from non-technical sources, but not in IT-oriented publications, because definition #2 below describes the correct use of the term.  SIG and is a founding board member and vice chair of the Southwest Regional Oracle Applications Users Group. The Innowave Technology president, who specializes in enterprise integration and service-oriented architecture See SOA. , has 20 years of experience in the technology industry, including 15 years with Oracle products.

Ray Payne is manager of Oracle technical infrastructure projects for Johns Hopkins University Johns Hopkins University, mainly at Baltimore, Md. He has more than 30 years of experience in the information technology field. His experience covers an extensive range of technical applications development and deployment. He has accumulated more than 20 years of knowledge with Oracle databases and 15 years of experience with Oracle Applications. Payne, who also served on the OAUG Board of Directors from 1998 through 2002, has been an OAUG member since 1992 and has supplied many presentations and technical papers at OAUG conferences.

 Division, Ministry of Government Services in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is presently responsible for the daily production support for the largest Oracle Financials implementation in Canada. In this capacity, she manages Tier 2 and Tier 3 application and functional support teams, as well as business process and functional design, testing and implementation of all changes to the application. Rothwell also coordinates Canada's Intergovernmental Forum of public sector Oracle Financials. Previously, she was active in developing the Ontario Shared Services shared services,
