To be fair, there wasn't much Oaks Christian of Westlake Village could do Thursday night in its 47-17 victory against Venice to top last week's drubbing of St. Bonaventure of Ventura in a much-hyped nationally televised game between two nationally ranked teams.

Venice, at least, brought some impressive credentials of its own - having upset Division I champion Loyola 39-14 in Week 1 - and ESPN ESPN Entertainment and Sports Programming Network 2 brought its cameras and a national feed, so there still was plenty to play for.

And once again, Oaks Christian didn't disappoint dis·ap·point
