O.S.S. Capital Management LP Acquires Additional Shares of Turnkey E&P Inc.

NEW YORK -- O.S.S. Capital Management LP, a Delaware limited partnership ("O.S.S. Capital"), announces that on November 4, 2005, Oscar S. Schafer & Partners I LP, Oscar S. Schafer & Partners II LP and O.S.S. Overseas Fund Ltd. (collectively the "O.S.S. Funds") collectively acquired 200,000 common shares ("Shares") of Tesco Corporation ("Tesco") through the facilities of the Toronto Stock Exchange. As a result of these purchases the O.S.S. Funds hold 3,602,000 Shares of Tesco, representing approximately 10.17% of the issued and outstanding Shares. Subsequent to November 4, 2005, the O.S.S. Funds have acquired an additional 448,000 Shares through the facilities of the Toronto Stock Exchange, the last purchase being on December 16, 2005, and currently hold 4,050,000 Shares of Tesco, representing approximately 11.44% of the issued and outstanding Shares of Tesco. O.S.S. Capital serves as investment manager, and management company, to O.S.S. Overseas and Oscar S. Schafer & Partners I LP and Oscar S. Schafer & Partners II LP respectively, and has investment discretion with respect to shares directly owned by the O.S.S. Funds.

The transactions were entered into for investment purposes. Neither O.S.S. Capital nor the O.S.S. Funds have any intention to acquire control over Tesco. O.S.S. Capital on behalf of the funds it manages, may acquire additional Shares or dispose of some or all of the Shares currently held.
