O. C. Tanner Becomes Sixth Prudential Client to Win Top Pensions & Investments Magazine Award.

Pensions & Investments Magazine has honored O. C. Tanner with a first place award for the company's Defined Contribution Investment education program.

The company won for excellence under the category of "Special Projects - Print (1,000-5,000 employees)."

"Prudential Retirement Services worked closely with us when designing our awareness program and based it on an Olympic theme, using the tagline, 'Go For the Gold,' " said Michael Tanner, director of Compensation and Benefits at O.C. Tanner. "The campaign symbolizes the spirit of reaching for the best - in this case, the best retirement plan," Tanner added.

Colorful images of athletes in motion were used throughout each communication to help develop the plan's identity. A new logo was designed, a hybrid of the Olympic rings and the O. C. Tanner name. This theme was carried on newsletters, posters, and table tents, postcards, a banner and an enrollment kit.

An important part of the campaign was the very popular "weeble" giveaways. These cute and fuzzy little creatures delivered the campaign tagline in a fun and whimsical whim·si·cal

The results of the campaign were impressive helping to increase total participation to 83 percent and generating positive responses from employees about the enhanced retirement program. The O. C. Tanner program is another in a long line of successful retirement educational campaigns for Prudential.
