O'DONNELL SEEKS DISMISSAL OF CHARGES.

 O'Donnell, a prominent Los Angeles attorney, asked Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ann Jones to dismiss 26 counts of campaign money-laundering because the charges were not filed until May 20, 2004 - more than three years after O'Donnell allegedly reimbursed several associates for donations to Hahn.

O'Donnell's lawyers argued that the city's two-year statute of limitations should apply, rather than the four-year state law that the District Attorney's Office is invoking.

Jones indicated that she plans to rule on the matter Feb. 10.

O'Donnell, 58, of Montecito faces up to 13 years in jail if convicted on all counts. He is accused of reimbursing colleagues and his personal trainer personal trainer person n(persönlicher) Fitnesstrainer m, (persönliche) Fitnesstrainerin f  for $25,000 in donations made to Hahn in May 2000 and February 2001.
