O'NEILL NAMED PRESIDENT OF CAMPBELL CANADA

 CAMDEN, N.J., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) today announced the appointment of Daniel J. O'Neill as president of Campbell Soup Company Ltd, the company's Canadian unit.
 O'Neill, 41, who has been vice president-group managing director- Europe for S.C. Johnson & Sons, Inc., will take over Campbell's Toronto- based Canadian unit Feb. 1.
 Robert F. Bernstock, Campbell's president-International Soup, said, O'Neill's "track record of success and leadership, along with Campbell Canada's excellent performance and aggressive business outlook will be a winning team, positioned well to seize the future."
 O'Neill was born in Ottawa. He received a B.A. in economics from Carleton University, Ottawa, in 1974, and an M.B.A. from Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, in 1976. After holding positions with Colgate Palmolive, Canada, he joined S.C. Johnson in 1981 as senior product manager-Insect Control-Canada. In 1982 he became group product manager in Brazil and was promoted to marketing director within 18 months. In 1986 he was named president and general manager of S.C. Johnson, Venezuela, and in 1990 he became vice president, U.S. Consumer Products (Home Care). In 1992 he was named vice president and group business manager-North America. He was named to his most recent position in 1993, based in Paris and responsible for Johnson businesses in France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and the Netherlands.
 He, his wife Lise and their three children will relocate to Toronto.
