Nylon 11 and 12 Grades Give Snowboards Pizazz.

Two extrusion grades of nylon are aimed at decorative top films for snow skis and snow boards. They provide uv and abrasion abrasion /abra·sion/ (ah-bra´zhun)
1. a rubbing or scraping off through unusual or abnormal action; see also planing.

2. a rubbed or scraped area on skin or mucous membrane.
resistance, toughness down to -40 F, clarity, and ability to receive colorful graphic decoration by sublimation sublimation, in chemistry
sublimation (sŭblĭmā`shən), change of a solid substance directly to a vapor without first passing through the liquid state.
printing. Supplied by Atofina Chemicals, Inc., Philadelphia, Rilsan MB3751 is a modified nylon 11 and Rilsan MA4670 is a modified nylon 12 that boasts outstanding adhesion adhesion /ad·he·sion/ (ad-he´zhun)
1. the property of remaining in close proximity.

2. the stable joining of parts to one another, which may occur abnormally.

Any of a class of thermosetting polymers, polyethers built up from monomers with an ether group that takes the form of a three-membered epoxide ring. The familiar two-part epoxy adhesives consist of a resin with epoxide rings at the ends of its molecules and a curing
and aluminum. No adhesive is required with this material or with a blend of the two resins. Blends also accommodate a wide range of decorative effects, including depth.
