Mr. Deitsch replaces Dr. Harold Crews and Dr. Edith Martin, who resigned from their positions as Chief Executive Officer, President and members of the Board of Directors respectively. Mr. Deitsch has been named to the Board of Directors.

Mr. Deitsch holds both a B.S. in Chemistry and an M.S. in Biochemistry from Florida Atlantic University “FAU” redirects here. For other uses, see FAU (disambiguation).

His graduate work consisted of in-depth research on Cone snail venom pharmaceutical applications and Camptothecin analogs for the treatment of cancer. Deitsch has several papers and posters on rational drug design using computer simulations. Mr. Deitsch is an adjunct professor and teaches several courses for Florida Atlantic University's College of Business and Continuing Education continuing education: see adult education.

Mr. Deitsch also intends to combine his expertise in rational drug design and bioinformatics with Nutra Pharma's proprietary and patented method for altering the three dimensional structure of certain proteins and peptides that results in the preservation of receptor-binding characteristics. The binding of specialized signaling proteins and peptides to cell surface receptors is an important part in the pathogenesis and progression of many different diseases. By modifying peptides which do not activate the normal biochemical pathways necessary for disease progression, powerful therapeutic agents could restore normal function to diseased tissue or exert a beneficial immunomodulatory effect.
