--Marriage discrimination activist Maggie Gallagher at a public lecture at Princeton University, November 16. Gallagher made the news in 2005 when it was revealed that the White House secretly paid her more than $20,O00 to stump for Bush's antigay agenda

"Bishop Eugene Ward Jr. ... of Greater Love Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church was charged Wednesday with domestic violence and aggravated menacing. Antoinette Sims-Ward told police that the couple were at home about 9:30 P.M. Tuesday [November 1] when they began to quarrel.... She said he choked her with the phone cord until she saw white dots and nearly passed out. Officers said her neck was slightly bruised and red. Ward denied choking her. He told police he accidentally knocked her down some stairs."

--From The [Cleveland] Plain Dealer, November 4. In 2004, Ward reportedly said same-sex marriage would be "the beginning of the fall of the nation" and was a greater threat to society than Osama bin Laden 

"Hot Hollywood couple Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend are ... tired of being asked about their marriage plans.... Theron tells news show Extra, 'We came up with a new idea that we said that we would get married the day that gays and lesbians can get married.... The day that law gets passed, then we'll get married.'"
