Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. and OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, Inc. Announce North American Partnership Agreement for Distribution of Optical Semiconductor Component Products.

MELVILLE, N.Y. & SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ:NUHC), a leading global distributor of advanced technology semiconductor, display and system solutions; and OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, Inc., one of the worldwide leaders in light-emitting diode (LED) technology; today announced a partnership agreement throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico effective October 1, 2006. This agreement involves the distribution of OSRAM's LEDs, Silicon Photo Detectors, Optical Sensors, Infrared Emitters, High-Power Laser Diodes, Organic LEDs (OLED) and Intelligent Display products.

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors focuses its product offering on current growing markets such as general illumination, projection, LCD display backlighting, automotive interior and exterior lighting, and mobile communications with organic and classic light emitting diodes used as innovative light sources.
