Nowhere to Hide: PRSA and NIRI Present New Rules of Corporate Ethics and Liability.

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 24, 2003

What do Enron, Worldcom and Tyco all have in common? These firms and their executives, along with others, have led the U.S. government to enact new regulations that require board members, CEOs, audit committees and key executives to take a more active and larger role for corporate liability issues.

) on Nov. 18 will present a panel outlining the legal ramifications ramifications nplAuswirkungen pl  -- including personal and criminal liability -- for those who participate in unethical practices in public and private companies.

The panel will also outline the new requirements for ethical practices and the role of investor relations and public relations practitioners in driving adoption of these practices by their organizations. Criminal liability can now apply to anyone involved in distributing misleading or inaccurate company information, regardless of whether they are specifically involved in the decision-making progress.
