Micromuse Inc. (Nasdaq: MUSE), the leading provider of realtime fault management and service assurance software, today announced that Novaxess has selected the Netcool(R) suite of applications to monitor faults and availability of services throughout its rapidly expanding high-speed Internet See broadband.  services network.

Based in the Netherlands, Novaxess is a broadband communications provider for small and medium-sized companies.

Novaxess selected Micromuse's flagship Netcool/OMNIbus(TM) application for its ability to scale as networks grow. The Netcool/OMNIbus application will provide realtime, proactive monitoring of faults throughout the Novaxess infrastructure, allowing network operators to address problems before they cause disruptions in service. In addition, Novaxess is deploying the Netcool/Impact(TM) application to determine which services and customers could potentially be impacted by problems on the network.
