Novatel Wireless Announces First Wireless Solution for HP's New Jornada 520 Series Color Pocket PCs.

The Minstrel 540 is available with GoAmerica or Omnisky service that allows mobile HP customers to securely access and process corporate data, view and edit Microsoft Word A full-featured word processing program for Windows and the Macintosh from Microsoft. Included in the Microsoft application suite, it is a sophisticated program with rudimentary desktop publishing capabilities that has become the most widely used word processing application on the market.  and Excel attachments, send and receive email and browse the Internet. The Minstrel 540 operates at 19.2 kbps full duplex (Computers) arranged so that the information may be transmitted in both directions simultaneously; - of communications channels between computers; contrasted with half duplex(a).  using the Cellular Digital Packet Data (communications, protocol) Cellular Digital Packet Data - (CDPD) A wireless standard providing two-way, 19.2 kbps packet data transmission over exisiting cellular telephone channels.  (CDPD (Cellular Digital Packet Data) A low-speed, digital, wireless data network that is an enhancement to an existing analog cellular network. Based on IBM's CelluPlan II, CDPD provides a packet overlay onto the AMPS network and moves data at 19. ) network delivering impressive functionality at considerable speed.
