The new company, Novartis Nutirition K.K., will be wholly owned by Novartis Holdings Japan, and manufacture and sell nutritional products for medical institutions and nursing-care facilities. With the move, Novartis aims to increase its presence in the ethical nutrition market in Japan. Over the past 15 years, Novartis has been offering the medical nutrition products, including its ISOCAL series, to 8,000 medical institutions and facilities nationwide.
