Nothing but a theory.

I read with interest the article by Mr. Behreandt on global warming global warming, the gradual increase of the temperature of the earth's lower atmosphere as a result of the increase in greenhouse gases since the Industrial Revolution.  ("Getting Burned by Bad Science," November 14 issue). Present global warming theory has a huge following by those I would put in the category of extreme environmentalists.

As a scientist who has dedicated my life's work Life's Work is a sitcom that aired from 1996 to 1997 on the American Broadcasting Company channel that starred Lisa Ann Walter as Lisa Ann Minardi Hunter, the assistant district attorney who had a husband named Kevin Hunter  to electronics, I can tell you that when a true scientist comes up with a hypothesis, or if you rather a theory, he does not accept the truth of this theory until after tests are conducted that cover all aspects of the conditions of the subject under study. This is done to reach a correct conclusion.

The junk junk

Classic Chinese sailing vessel of ancient unknown origin, still in wide use. High-sterned, with a projecting bow, the junk carries up to five masts on which are set square sails consisting of panels of linen or matting flattened by bamboo strips.
scientist comes up with a theory, and because his ego tells him he has come up with a brilliant idea, he tells himself that it cannot be wrong. (I wish I could count the times that, in my work, I have experienced this same thought and through the process of tests I was proven to be wrong.) Troth is an illusive il·lu·sive

Illusory.

thing to those who fail to look for it!

Problematic is the fact that the subject of global weather extends over such long periods of time that science cannot possibly obtain records of the necessary accuracy to draw such fine conclusions as those claims made by extreme environmentalists.
