The buildings have proven an attractive location for not-for-profit organizations.

Since the UFT closed on the purchase in April 2001, CABR CABR Cabrillo National Monument (US National Park Service)

 has completed 20 deals at the buildings totaling approximately 175,000 square feet, including renewals. Inclusive of these three deals, the UFT has made a total of 10 deals with not-for-profit organizations totaling almost 93,000 square feet, representing 80% of all new leases.

"These transactions demonstrate the UFT's continuing to contribute to the revitalization of Lower Manhattan," said Mr. Lipinski. "They have been a very accommodating landlord, demonstrating more flexibility than most, making the buildings very attractive to not-for-profit organizations."

VFI signed a 15-year lease for the space. They were represented by Glenn Markmann of Cushman & Wakefield.

Court Appointed Special Advocates Inc., whose mission to move children out of foster care and place them into safe, permanent homes where they can thrive, has signed a 10-year lease for 3,710 square feet at 50 Broadway.
