Not sorry enough? While I somewhat appreciate Justin Goddard's change of heart in his letter decrying his staunch support of anti--gay marriage legislation ["Dear Advocate, I'm Sorry," March 27] on beth a state and national level, I still have one question: What is he doing to undo To restore the last editing operation that has taken place. For example, if a segment of text has been deleted or changed, performing an undo will restore the original text. Programs may have several levels of undo, including being able to reconstruct the original data for all edits the damage done? I'm glad he realized that love can exist between two people regardless of gender, but his words ring a bit hollow to these ears. When Mr. Goddard writes a check to HRC HRC Human Rights Campaign HRC Human Rights Council (UN) HRC Human Rights Commission HRC Hard Rock Cafe HRC Hillary Rodham Clinton (democratic senator/presidential candidate; former first lady) , sends a letter to his congressmen supporting a reversal on marriage bans, or even tells me how much fun he had at Pride St. Louis, Ill accept his apology apology [Gr.,=defense], literary work that defends, justifies, or clarifies an author's ideas or point of view. Unlike the ordinary use of the word, the literary use neither implies that wrong has been done nor expresses regret. . M.J. THOMPSON Minneapolis, Minn. I am very moved by the apology extended to the gay community by Justin Goddard. This apology is simple, unqualified, and plainly honest--just imagine how rare that is from a politician or other public figure who really only wants something in exchange. This comes from a private individual with no further request than for our forgiveness Forgiveness Angelica, Suor is forgiven by the Virgin Mary for ill-considered suicide. [Ital.
