Not quite home alone.Two roommates in Hampton, Virginia Hampton is an independent city in Virginia, and therefore not part of any Virginia county. One of the Seven Cities of Hampton Roads, it is on the southeast end of the Virginia Peninsula, bordering on Hampton Roads and Chesapeake Bay. As of the 2000 U.S. , got a nasty surprise on February 21 when two strangers burst into their residence, holding guns and demanding money. The robbers, Demarcus Wade and Clifton Jordon, entered the house and immediately confronted one of the occupants, Timothy Page. Page said to the Daily Press, "They told me to hit the floor, so I hit the floor." When the robbers demanded money from Page, however, he told them he didn't know where there was any. Wade and Jordon then went to another room to strong-arm the other roommate who was home, Robert Outlaw, to get some money. When Outlaw couldn't provide any money either, one robber shot at Outlaw, and then they again went to Page to press him for money. Outlaw hurriedly hur·ried adj. 1. a. Moving or acting rapidly. b. Outlaw's roommate, Page, attempted to drive him to a hospital, but their intended destination had gone out of business. Forty-five minutes later, the two called authorities for help.
