Norwegians warming up to Eugene.

It's not exactly a Norwegian invasion, but some musicians from Norway have crossed the same Big Pond the Beatles did in 1964.

Three such acts are in town this week, starting with Sondre Lerche headlining Saturday at Sam Bond's. Fellow sanger-sangskribent Thomas Dybdahl Thomas Dybdahl (born April 12, 1979 in Sandnes, Norway) is a Norwegian musician in singer/songwriter tradition. Biography

In exciting news closer to home, another South Eugene High School South Eugene High School is a public high school located in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It was founded as Eugene High School around 1900, and was located at Willamette Street and West 11th Avenue in a brick building that later served as Eugene's city hall.  grad has completed a record. This time it's Jessica Parsons-Taylor, who shines in her debut album "The Slower Side of Time."

Here's a girl who's not afraid to be happy, although her songs aren't always. Parsons-Taylor is likely a temporary bright spot on the local scene as she plans to try and make a music career, and we all know how difficult that is to do from here.

Speaking of bright spots, we can't wait to see "The Last Mimzy." No, we are not children, but some of us never saw "E.T." and won't listen to reviewers who say the new movie just isn't good enough. We think it looks cute cute
