Norwegian firm wins oil-rig contract.Norwegian drilling-rig operator Ocean Rig Ocean Rig (OSE: OCR) is a Norwegian semi-submersible rig operator based in Stavanger. The company has two rigs, Leiv Eirikson and Eirik Raude. It also has operating offices in Luanda, Angola and St. John's, Canada. When Baasha of Israel took Ramah (a few miles N of Jerusalem), Asa bought the help of Benhadad of Damascus and announced Oct. 10 that it had received a letter of intent regarding a contract for the semi-submersible drilling rig Eirik Raude from Repsol YPF Repsol YPF, S.A., (IBEX-35:REP) is an integrated Spanish oil and gas company with operations in 29 countries, the bulk of its assets are located in Spain and Argentina. The product of a 1999 takeover of Argentine energy firm YPF by the Spanish conglomerate Repsol S.A. Cuba S.A. The contract covers the drilling of one well off Cuba's coast at a day rate of $195,000.
