Norway's Leading Carrier Now Connected To ITXC.net; Telenor And ITXC Exchanging International Traffic.

Sept. 4, 2001 Telenor Global Services is now exchanging international phone calls with ITXC Corp (NASDAQ:ITXC) via ITXC.net(SM), the largest global network for voice on the Internet with points of presence in over 125 countries.

Telenor is Norway's leading provider of voice, information, knowledge, and entertainment through a broad range of modern communications services. ITXC is currently selling to its subsidiary Telenor Global Services AS (TGS), which was established specifically to provide international wholesale services to telecom operators, mobile operators, and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) throughout the world.

By collocating ITXC customer premise equipment at its switch site, Telenor has immediate access to ITXC's network for sending and receiving international calls via the Internet. Telenor has achieved this additional worldwide reach without having to spend capital on new circuits.

Although ITXC carries calls to and from Norway over the Internet, the calls are placed and received on ordinary telephones and fax machines in the usual way. Neither party needs to have or use a computer. Callers are unaware that their calls are being routed over the Internet since ITXC's intelligent routing technology provides quality that is equal to and, in some parts of the world, better than that provided by the legacy phone network.

Over the last four years, ITXC has built the world's largest network for routing calls over the Internet. Originally, most of these calls were made from highly competitive markets, like Norway, to people in developing nations. ITXC has recently completed agreements with the national carriers of South Africa, Ghana and Chad. As telecom markets around the world open to competition, more and more calls are being made from countries that had previously only received calls from ITXC. Some of those calls now terminate in Norway via this relationship.
