MTNA Middle Tennessee Nursery Association (McMinnville, Tennessee) Competitions were held at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, January 13-15. Presidents from each state in the division attended a meeting and provided service throughout the competition. These competitions require many volunteers from local associations, and the efforts of these people, together with the division competition chair, coordinators and state presidents, are greatly appreciated. July 12-13 are the scheduled dates for the conference. Washington State MTA will present its 2006 state conference June 26-30 at the Ocean Shores Convention Center on the Washington coast. Paul Barnes will be the guest clinician along with Gayle Kowalchyk, sponsored by Alfred Music Publishing The contractual relationship between a songwriter or music composer and a music publisher, whereby the writer assigns part or all of his or her music copyrights to the publisher in exchange for the publisher's commercial exploitation of the music. . The upcoming 2006 MTNA National Conference in Austin, Texas, March 25-29, promises stimulating educational sessions in music literature, performance, pedagogy and technology; exciting concerts; master classes and the national finals of the MTNA Student Performance Competitions.
