Northwest Airlines Confirms Death of Pilot.MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ --Northwest Airlines (Nasdaq: NWAC NWAC Northwest Airlines (stock symbol) NWAC Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center (NOAA) NWAC Native Women's Association of Canada (Ottawa, ON, Canada) ) today confirmed the death of Captain Thomas N. Christianson, age 53, and a Northwest pilot since 1972. The incident occurred on NW flight 308 from Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. to Minneapolis/St. Paul. Capt. Christianson became ill and had left the cockpit and died shortly thereafter of an apparent heart attack.
