Northstar Electronics Announces Appointment of Robert Blair to its Board of Directors.

Northstar Electronics, Inc. (OTCBB:NEIK) today announced Dr. S. Robert Blair, C.C., P.Eng has been appointed to the Board of Directors.

Dr. Wilson Russell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Northstar Electronics, made the announcement stating, "Bob Blair is renowned as a leader and pioneer in the Canadian Petroleum industry, both land based and offshore. We feel that his proven ability to grow small enterprises into world class entities will be of great importance to our company."

Dr. Blair has held a number of leadership positions with major corporations. He was Chairman and CEO of the NOVA Corp Group that included Husky Oil Ltd., Foothills Pipelines, Pan-Alberta Gas, Polysar and WAGI International. Dr. Blair also served on a number of boards of directors including those of Dofasco, Canron, Bank of Montreal, Uniroyal, Canadian Enterprise Development Corporation, and Hutchison Whampoa. Currently he is a member of the board of directors of several prominent energy and technology companies.

Dr. Blair also has an extensive public service record having served on a number of Canadian governmental committees, economic committees, and task forces throughout the past 30 years. He has received the Companion of the Order of Canada, Canada's highest award for lifetime achievement and served as the Commissioner General for Canada at the 2000 Expo in Hanover, Germany.
