Northrop Grumman Navigation Systems division was selected to provide a newer technology and upgraded software for the warning, caution and mission computer subsystems on Boeing's C-17A aircraft. Northrop is to create new software, test equipment to be flight-tested by Boeing in the second quarter of 2004. The production phase will see 43 shipsets delivered beginning in 2005.
