Coronado is across the bay. , is being awarded a $6,869,002 cost-plus-fixed-fee services contract for engineering and technical support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services for systems engineering as they pertain to command, control, communication, computers and intelligence (C3I C3I Command, Control, Communications & Intelligence (US DoD) C3I Computer Controlled Coil Ignition C3I Command, Control, and Communications Interoperability C3I Command Control Communications and Intelligence ) systems for the Navy. The contract contains options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $75,847,908. This contract involves purchases for the countries of Italy (four percent) and Japan (four percent) under the Foreign Military Sales That portion of United States security assistance authorized by the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended, and the Arms Export Control Act of 1976, as amended. This assistance differs from the Military Assistance Program and the International Military Education and Training Program Program. Work will be performed in San Diego, (an estimated 78 percent); other U.S. states (an estimated 20 percent) of which Norfolk, Va. (an estimated one percent of the 20 percent), and Washington, D.C. (an estimated one percent of the 20 percent) are locations where performance is currently known; and foreign countries (two percent). Work is to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $2,000,000 will expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through the Commerce Business Daily and the Request for Proposals was posted to the Navy Electronic Commerce Online Web site with one offer received.
