Northrop Grumman's Sperry Marine will supply the Machinery
Control System for the first new-generation largedeck amphibious assault
ship for the US Navy; the LHA 6. Under the $ 47 million contract Sperry
Marine will provide an integrated network for monitoring and controlling
the ship's main propulsion plant and auxiliary systems. LHA 6 is
currently building in Pascagoula, Mississippi with delivery scheduled
for 2012.
