Northern Light Group acquires TechTarget assets.

Northern Light (Cambridge, MA), a provider of custom enterprise, industry, and Web search engines, has acquired the Analyst Direct and Analyst Views product lines from TechTarget (Needham, MA). The purchase, no terms of which were given, closed on August 2, 2005. Analyst Direct provides market research portals that index licensed subscription market research from a range of information technology research firms and turns internal market research reports into custom client-specific databases that can be accessed with one search. Analyst Direct clients include Fortune 500 global enterprises in the hardware, networking and software segments of the information technology industry. Analyst Views catalogs, indexes and searches the full text of tens of thousands of reports and provides free content produced by over 300 analyst firms. It is designed to help senior IT managers and IT vendors "plan, implement, manage, market, and sell better," the company said. C.
