Northern Hemisphere Development Corp.: Drilling to Commence at Bulwark Project.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- The Board of Directors of Northern Hemisphere Development Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:NHD) wishes to announce that, further to News Release 05-11 dated March 17, 2005, an earning well will be drilled on the Bulwark Property at 6-4-39-12 W4M, located in central Alberta. This well will be drilled to a depth of 1,025 meters. The target is lower Mannville gas in the Dina Sand.

The well location has been surveyed, and a well license has been issued by the Government of Alberta. Warburg Resources Inc. ("Warburg"), as Operator, has executed a drilling contract. The well spudded on November 26, 2005.

Pursuant to the agreement with Warburg, the Company has earned a 45% interest in two sections before payout, a 20% interest after payout, subject to a Crown Royalty and a 2% GOR. The participation cost to drill and case the well is estimated to be $203,000. This well will earn an additional 2 sections subject to the same conditions. The Company also has a further right to earn a 47.5% interest in a further two sections before payout, a 22.5% interest after payout, subject to a Crown Royalty and a 2% GOR by re-entering an additional well, scheduled to be performed this fall.

A 3-D seismic program has been completed to define this structural target.

The Company is continuing to aggressively pursue other interests in BC and Alberta in the petroleum sector with a focus on production.
