The company began when engineer Carl Kiekhaefer purchased a small outboard motor company in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

In November, (photo at r) David Borsuk (r), Sadoff Iron & Metal Co., presents Charles Kurtti, Neenah Foundry A semiconductor manufacturer that makes chips for third parties. It may be a large chip maker that sells its excess manufacturing capacity or one that makes chips exclusively for other companies.  Co, (retired), with a speaker's award for his presentation, "Competitive Conditions in the U.S. Foundry Market."
