Northeast Division holds successful spring conference.The Northeast Division of the Paper Industry Management Association held a successful Spring Conference at The Black Bear Inn in Orono, Maine on April 2-4, 2003. The theme for this year's Conferences was "Bringing PIMA to the People." A strong technical program, including presentations on natural gas and a Mill Operations Roundtable, as well as a tour of Duke Energy's Maine Independent Station, were put together by Division Chair Dave Embley, technical manager, Irving Pulp & Paper Ltd., and Affiliate chair Caren Stevens, Tesa Tape. The purpose of the first technical session, "Natural Gas" was to learn about the discovery, extraction and transmission of Natural Gas to the Northeast United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America.
