Northeast Biodiesel Company, LLC Appoint President and CEO.

GREENFIELD, Mass. -- Northeast Biodiesel Company (NBC) has announced the appointment of Dr. Rex A. D'Agostino as President and CEO. In this newly created position, Dr. D'Agostino will provide strategic direction and oversee all company operations aimed at building the biodiesel market and business in Massachusetts and in the Northeastern US. He will manage the acquisition of funding, procurement of technology, site and manufacturing operations as well as marketing and sales activities.

Dr. D'Agostino has extensive general management experience and has successfully implemented start-up operations in the fields and markets of biotechnology, chemical processing and separations sciences. With expertise in product line development, building channels to markets and generating brand identity, He is expected to generate significant interest in the business of "green" biofuels.

Prior to Northeast Biodiesel, Dr. D'Agostino was Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Evergreen Solar of Marlboro, MA. In that capacity he was responsible for building the brand, marketing and sales channels both domestically and internationally, as well as assisting in shaping the strategic direction of this US manufacturer and leader of solar photovoltaic products.

Dr. D'Agostino also served at the Graver Company, a division of the Marmon Group, and provider of ion exchange technology and products as well as membrane filtration and proprietary engineered systems. There he began as division President and was promoted to company President, spearheading cost control programs, while refocusing the business on international markets. Under his strategic leadership, Graver increased its backlog by 57% and profitability by 20%.

Dr. D'Agostino has also held senior management positions at several research, biotechnology, and environmentally driven organizations, including Millipore Corporation, Amicon Corporation, and Gelman Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Notre Dame University.
