The North Slope Spot Price drastically increased
over the last year. As of April 24, 2006, the North
Slope Spot Price was $69.28 per barrel, compared to
just $51.26 a year ago in April 2005. This denotes a 26
percent increase.
The increase over the last month was minor but significant.
In the period of one month, March 2006 to April
2006, the North Slope oil price increased from $59.92
to $69.28 per barrel. In itself, this represents a fairly
significant monthly increase of 13.5 percent.
