As the winner, Collins will travel to Wilmington, Durham, High Point and New Bern with the North Carolina Symphony The North Carolina Symphony is a professional, full-time, state-wide orchestra based in Raleigh, North Carolina, employing sixty-eight full time musicians. The orchestra performs in Meymandi Concert Hall and performs occasionally with the Carolina Ballet and the The Opera Company September 23-26, performing Dvorak's Violin Concerto in A Minor, Op. 53. Collins, a ninth-grader in the NCSA (1) (National Center for Supercomputing Applications, Urbana-Champaign, IL, www.ncsa.uiuc.edu) A high-performance computing facility located at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
