CHATSWORTH, Calif. -- North American Scientific, Inc. (Nasdaq: NASI) today announced that it received notice from The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. ("Nasdaq") granting the Company's request for continued listing on The Nasdaq National Market. Continued listing is subject to the Company filing its Form 10-Q for the quarter ending July 31, 2006 evidencing shareholders' equity above $10 million and otherwise continuing to comply with all other continued listing requirements of The Nasdaq National Market. Based upon the recent closing of the $24 million private placement of the Company's common stock, the Company believes its Form 10-Q for the quarter ending July 31, 2006 will satisfy the shareholders' equity requirement.
