The new system allows Babbage Simmel employees to access voice, fax and e-mail from their desktop PC or by telephone via a unified messaging Having access to e-mail, voice mail and faxes via a common computer application or by telephone. Norstan's solution encompassed a unified messaging system from Applied Voice Technology, Inc. of Kirkland, Washington Kirkland is a city in King County, Washington, United States. In addition, AVT's CallXpress, running on the Windows NT platform permits ease of administration from any workstation using standard Windows controls, such as, pull-down menus, radio buttons A series of on-screen buttons that allow only one selection to be made from the group. If a button is currently selected, it will de-select when any other button is selected. Radio buttons come from the early days of radio, which had five or six preset station buttons in a row.  and on-line help.
