Normandy sells Fort Lee trophy.


Normandy Normandy (nôr`məndē), Fr. Normandie (nôrmäNdē`), region and former province, NW France, bordering on the English Channel.  Real Estate Partners has announced the $44.4 million sale of 2100 North Central Road in Fort Lee, New Jersey Fort Lee is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the borough population was 35,461.

Fort Lee was formed by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 29, 1904, from the remaining portions of Ridgefield Township.

Normandy and joint venture partner Wafra Investment Advisory Group acquired the 139,000 s/f Class A office building in 2005. The sale represents one of the highest prices per square foot ever paid for an office building in the Fort Lee submarket sub·mar·ket

Upon Normandy's acquisition of 2100 North Central Road, the facility was fully net leased to Mellon HR Solutions. Normandy was able to structure a lease termination agreement with Mellon while simultaneously identifying a user/buyer who was in need of a vacant office building for their headquarters.

Giorgios Vlamis, a Director at Normandy commented, "By being able to work out a lease termination with Mellon while simultaneously identifying a suitable buyer for this asset, we were able to achieve all of our investment objectives as well as those of Mellon and the buyer."

The highly visible building, adjacent to the George Washington Bridge George Washington Bridge, vehicular suspension bridge across the Hudson River, between Manhattan borough of New York City and Fort Lee, N.J.; constructed 1927–31. It is one of the longest suspension bridges in the world.  is composed of seven floors of office space atop six levels of parking.
