Nonstick electrosurgical forceps. (Product Marketplace).

SILVERGlide[TM] nonstick bipolar electrosurgical forceps from Silverglide Surgical Technologies virtually eliminate the problem of tissue sticking and tissue buildup normally associated with coagulation coagulation (kōăg'ylā`shən), the collecting into a mass of minute particles of a solid dispersed throughout a liquid (a sol), usually followed by the precipitation or  during surgery. The bipolar forceps recently received FDA FDA

501K clearance. SILVERGlide allows the surgeon to keep working by eliminating the need to stop surgery to vigorously scrape and clean the forceps tips.

These forceps utilize a proprietary nonstick alloy. Unlike nonstick electrosurgical electrode coatings, SILVERGlide does not wear off or lose its nonstick properties over time. The forceps are equipped with the standard bipolar forceps connetor and work with most common electrosurgical generators. They are available in a variety of sizes and styles, including Semken, Adson, short and long bayonets, and jewelers.

Models are also available wit angled tips for tonsillectomy tonsillectomy /ton·sil·lec·to·my/ (ton?si-lek´tah-me) excision of a tonsil.
