Non-League Football: Scott puts Town on top; MIDLAND ALLIANCE.

STRATFORD TOWN climbed to the top of the table with their hard fought 1-0 victory over visitors Oadby Town.

Scott Darroch struck the only goal, a header from Paul O'Brien's corner on 63 minutes in a game that was held up for 15 minutes due to floodlight failure.

Darroch could have added a second in the dying seconds but Oadby also had their chances with Jimenez twice going close to earning the Leicestershire outfit a share of the points.

Studley continued their impressive form as they climbed to second following a 2-1 victory over Coalville Town. Steve Duncan headed the opener after ten minutes with Anthony Ribinson adding a second two minutes from time. Ashley Warner reduced the arrears in the 90th minute, but the home side managed to hold out for victory despite having Ricky Marshall and Mark Beddowes sent off.

Alvechurch pulled off the shock result of the day with a 3-1 victory at former leaders Rocester.

Brett Fitzpatrick and Keith Rostill scored either side of half-time before Rochard Mitchell clawed one back for Rocester with a penalty.

But Alvechurch restored their two-goal cushion when Liam O'Shea found the net.
