To designate or appoint to an office, responsibility, or honor. outstanding undergraduates in park and outdoor recreation resource management. Nominations due May 27. William Penn Mott, Jr. Awards Awarded primarily for professional achievement in the field of parks and recreation, and citizen action contributing to the advancement of the profession or park and recreation programs. The determining factor shall be the degree of sustained proficiency pro·fi·cien·cy n. pl. pro·fi·cien·cies The state or quality of being proficient; competence.
