The three awards, which honor marketers and their mentors in the New York Area architectural/engineering/construction (A/E/C A/E/C Architect/Engineer/Contractor ) industry, are: (1) the Marketing Mentor Award, (2) the Marketing Champion Award, and (3) the Marketing Achievement Award. Some of the previous winners have included Amanda Burden Amanda Jay Mortimer Burden (born 1944) is the director of the New York City Department of City Planning and chair of the City Planning Commission. She is a proponent of revitalizing Lower Manhattan, improving public access to the Brooklyn waterfronts, improving commuter , Richard Anderson, Patricia Lancaster, Daniel Doctoroff, and Arthur Zeckendorf. Nominations are due February 9, 2007. These prestigious awards will be presented at the chapter's annual Honors Event, to be held at the Millennium Hotel in midtown mid·town n. SMPS members can nominate their mentors or firm leaders for the other two awards (the Marketing Mentor or Marketing Champion awards). The nominations are judged by a panel of senior-level marketers from within the industry.
