Nomai Acquires a High Capacity Floppy Disk Facility.


AVRANCHES, France--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 1997--Nomai (NOMF.PA) today announced the completion of the acquisition of RPS rps

 (Rhone Poulenc Systems) Media, a 60,000 square foot manufacturing plant situated in Albi, France.

The site is well-known for its high-volume, high-quality 3 1/2 floppy manufacturing lines.

Nomai plans to convert the site to manufacture removable media of much higher storage capacity than standard floppies.

Today's announcement marks another milestone for Nomai. Nomai recently announced the introduction of the Nomai 100 MB Super Floppy diskette, which is fully compatible to Iomega's Zip drive. In the last six months, Nomai has introduced a 750 MB removable hard disk (storage) removable hard disk - A type of magnetic disk, or possibly magneto-optical disk which is not permanently attached to the disk drive (not a fixed disk) but which can be taken out and replaced, allowing many disks to be used in the same drive.  drive, and a 680 MB CD Recordable/Rewritable compact disk drive.
