In a proactive move to educate consumers regarding gaming content, developer-driven computer game publisher Gathering of Developers and developer Terminal Reality today announced that the upcoming high-tension, 3D action/horror game Nocturne(TM) will feature a prominent parental advisory label on the box's packaging. The label reads "This game contains scenes of animated violence, adult language and some nudity. Suitable for mature audiences only." Nocturne will also contain a setting whereby adult language, nudity and bloodshed can be turned off. Nocturne is both The Gathering's and Terminal Reality's first title rated for Mature Audiences only (MA) by the industry's ERSB rating system. Nocturne will be released on Halloween 1999.

"The gaming industry issued the ERSB ratings in 1994 to educate consumers about potentially violent scenes and adult themes in computer games.
