Berlin--The German bishops have published a document roundly condemning human cloning Although genes are recognized as influencing behavior and cognition, "genetically identical" does not mean altogether identical; identical twins, despite being natural human clones with near identical DNA, are separate people, with separate experiences and not altogether , as well as the artificial production and selection of embryos for scientific and therapeutic ends. The bishops encourage biomedical science Noun 1. biomedical science - the application of the principles of the natural sciences to medicine
bioscience, life science - any of the branches of natural science dealing with the structure and behavior of living organisms
, but maintain that it must respect the human dignity Human dignity is an expression that can be used as a moral concept or as a legal term. Sometimes it means no more than that human beings should not be treated as objects. Beyond this, it is meant to convey an idea of absolute and inherent worth that does not need to be acquired and  of all persons.
