A disappointed Father Marian Gil, director of the Catholic corporation, said the rejection came despite an application that was "very compelling" and brought together many cultures and organizations. He urged supporters not to become discouraged dis·cour·age

Meanwhile Protestant-Evangelical groups are acquiring one radio station after another. The latest station has opened in Whitehorse, YT, and another "Christian" (i.e. Protestant), radio station in Belleville, ON, has been given the green light by the CRTC. Do the Evangelicals know something that Catholics don't?
