No red dot? Use it not!Tankers, don't use the tank gun fire device simulator (Hoffman device), NSN NSN National Stock Number NSN Nokia Siemens Networks NSN National Storytelling Network NSN NATO Stock Number NSN New Substances Notification (CEPA) NSN National Student Number (NZ) NSN Never Say Never 6920-01-067-1667, on your M1-series tank unless the simulator has been modified. An unmodified Hoffman device can create an electrical spike that could damage your tank's electrical system or even cause the M21 pyrotechnic charges to fire prematurely. Modified simulators have a dime-sized red dot on the side. You'll also find a second, smaller red dot near the modified area of the MILES M1 kill indicator cable, NSN 6150-01-306-9431. If your simulator or MILES cable doesn't have the markings, don't use them. Turn in the device to your Training Support Center or directly to DRMO DRMO Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (US DoD) DRMO Defense Reutilization Management Office DRMO Division Resource Management Office using a Derail Code of D. That will ensure the device is destroyed and can't be used again. Questions?
