No holding Terra back.

Terra Holdings, the parent company of Halstead Property and Brown Harris Stevens, has acquired Heron Ltd. it was announced by David Burris, co-chairman of the company.

This latest acquisition comes on the heals of four other recent acquisitions, all completed in the past six months, which include Dunemere Associates, William B. May Brooklyn, Hahn Realty and Resort Properties Intl. As a result of the acquisitions, Brown Harris Stevens has also added more than 250 associates to its brokerage staff. Now, Terra Holdings adds an additional company to its total corporate roster.

"The addition of Heron Ltd. to our corporation, coupled with all of our recent acquisitions, continues our momentum and drive for growth. Terra Holdings is now the largest New York City-based residential real estate firm with transactions valued at over $8 billion," said Arthur W. Zeckendorf, co-chairman of Terra Holdings.

The Heron Ltd. building management division manages more than 7,000 apartments in many of Manhattan's most distinguished buildings. Heron Ltd. will maintain its office in Manhattan at 820 Second Ave.

The firm will continue to operate under the Heron Ltd. name and will receive the extensive breadth of services offered by Terra Holdings. Ronni Lynn Arougheti will remain president of Heron Ltd. and will operate under the Terra Holdings umbrella of companies.
