No candidate fielded by PML-N in NA-55 so far.

ISLAMABAD, 07 June, 2009 (Frontier Star) --PML-N has not nominated its candidate to contest the by polls taking place on July 4 for the national assembly seat in NA-55 while the aspirants for ticket have started their contacts with Sharif brothers, opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Raja Zafar ul Haq. Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, advisor to chief minister Punjab, Siddiq ul Farooq, spokesperson of PML-N, Sardar Naseem and other candidates have obtained their nomination papers so far. All the three persons are being tipped as the potential candidates for this seat. Sources told reporter Raja Fayyaz Sarwar brother of Raja Ashfaq Sarwar had contested election for Punjab assembly seat in PP-1 Rawalpindi and was elected. In recognition for his party services, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar was appointed advisor to chief minister Punjab. PML-N leadership does not want to annoy Siddiq ul Farooq and Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, therefore, it wants to award ticket to a third person to avoid any conflict in party ranks. When contacted Raja Ashfaq Sarwar told reporter party leadership had to decide about fielding the candidate. However it would be acceptable to all whatever decision it would take, he added.
